“The diorama was constructed at the Arizona Historical Society Museum at Papago Park in Tempe in 2015, and was also displayed at the AZ Heritage Center in Tempe, and here’s a round of applause to Tim Ralston of Capstone - Pinto Valley Mine, who helped move this rather large exhibit from Tempe to Miami," said Bullion Plaza’s Executive Director Tom Foster. “This event gives me an opportunity to thank Larry Dykers and other volunteers from the Mining Foundation and our own wonderful volunteers here at Bullion, for the hundreds of hours of work they put into reassembling the mining diorama and other new exhibits in the Copper Room." Bullion’s new exhibit was recognized and applauded last month at the Minerals Education Foundation 41st Annual American Mining Hall of Fame awards presentation in Tucson. Come see for yourself – and take a minute to offer an accolade of your own to volunteers including Larry Dykers, Tom Aldrich – and Bullion Plaza’s Executive Director Tom Foster—for the effort that went into seeing this project to fruition during 2023.
