About the Event
Friday March 7 youths ages 11-18 will learn geology through hands on activities exploring the field of rocks, minerals and gems.
Arranged by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, this Exploring 4-H Day Camp at High Desert Middle School in Globe is open to all ages 11-18, whether or not they’re 4-H members.
Guest speakers include Tonto National Forest Geologist Grace Bombulum, and the day includes a field trip and hike on the trails at Round Mountain Park.
Registration is a bargain at $10, and scholarships are available for low income participants.
