With more than half-a-million songs at his fingertips, DJ Shon of X92.7 will host karaoke evening Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at veterans park near Globe City Hall during this month’s first Friday event, and in addition to karaoke at the park the special back-to-school Kids Bash includes a hula hoop contest, bean bag toss, chalk art, mini-golf, marble races, vegetable painting, a cupcake walk and more fun.  This month’s first Friday event has so much to choose from: the once-a-month food truck roundup will also include the Tumbleweeds live in concert from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Old Dominion Parking Lot – and a special Kids Bash at Veterans Park near city hall from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. First Friday always includes unique vendors on Oak Street adjacent to the Cobre Valley Center For The Arts: Coco Tiki Bread Company, Norma’s Wish Boxes, Talkalai’s Art & Craft, Trendy Mixations and more! And did someone say food trucks?
